The Missing Piece

The Missing Piece

I loved this video depending on what is going on in your life right now it can mean many different things. Some might see this as missionary work, a compassionate person reaching out to someone else, or finding Peace in one's life. I know right now many people are in turmoil and they need to know where they can find peace. Whether you are looking to place pieces of yourself in the right order or you are looking for the peace to settle your soul, I hope this video brings some comfort.

Lizzie is 8!

My sweet Elizabeth just turned eight last month and was baptized just this last weekend. We had a great time and I did shed a few tears. She is my baby girl after all, even if she thinks she's 16. I love how honest and strong she is. She also has the sweetest side to her with an abundance of patience. We love you Lou!

When you need a nap, You need a nap!

So, Christopher and I were outside cleaning/playing in the backyard. He decided to come into the house to watch some cartoons. Lately he's been playing with my laundry basket. He puts blankets in them and turns them into a car or a boat. This afternoon he decided to turn it into a bed. I love this boy!

YES I'M A LOSER BLOGGER! (loving and letting go)

Yes, many of you may have noticed that I haven't blogged in 10 months. Now I'm back. Some of you know that I started doing foster care back in August of
2009. Today I had sweet babies leave my home and my arms. I needed somewhere to place my feelings and my blog seemed like a good place. In January, I received twins that were 21 months old. They were the sweetest things. Do to confidentiality I'm not going to give their story or the mothers. Today though they went back to their mom and took a piece of me with them. I had a relationship with their birth mom, she has worked extremely hard to get them back. I'm proud of her! She did what she needed to under excruciating circumstances. It's a interesting feeling to put so much time, love, effort, and worry into someone that leaves. As my Aunt says, "it always stings when they go."
It made me think though of my Heavenly Father. Him putting so much time and effort into us knowing that we may or may not return to him. I am grateful for God, his love for me, and all of his children. No matter who you are, what you believe, where you go, he loves you, and I will always love those two sweet babies.
